Show runs from October 27, 2012 - Fegruary 17, 2013
I will have three pieces for sale at the show including an alla-prima portrait, plein-air landscape painting, and a studio piece (close-up of image above).
The 19th De Colores Art Show is a celebration of Latino culture, heritage and iconography. The show was established in 1995 by Santa Paula artist, musician and activist Xavier Montes, who appointed local artist Andrea Vargas-Mendoza as his curatorial successor last year. This year's show, which includes new artists and textural surprises, speaks nostalgically of home and history.
